About photocolorbook

photocolorbook is a small, independent web tool that turns a photo into a printable black-and-white coloring page, and lets you gather up to 10 pages into a coloring book PDF.

The idea in five lines

The picture
A snapshot of the kids, the dog or the house, as a JPEG, PNG or WebP up to 10 MB.
The result
Line art you can print tonight on Letter or A4, or tuck into a little book.
Who it suits
Parents, grandparents, teachers, and anyone planning a party favor, a gift or a quiet afternoon.
The price
One free low-resolution, watermarked page per day. Paid options are one-time, with no subscription: 10 coloring pages $4.99; Printable coloring book $9.99. See pricing.
The people
One independent maker, reachable at [email protected].

From snapshot to printout

  1. You choose a photo. Your browser resizes it, which also drops embedded location and camera data.
  2. You pick Simple or Detailed lines and whether to remove the background. The resized photo is sent once to an outside image service that draws the outlines, and the result comes straight back.
  3. You can clean the page to pure black and white, download a PNG or a Letter or A4 PDF, or add it to your book. Book pages are kept in your own browser until you export the PDF.

Your uploaded photos and the coloring pages made from them never sit on our servers; the privacy page spells out how.

Not tied to anyone, and not perfect

photocolorbook is run independently. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any printing company, publisher, social network or maker of image models. Results come from an automated process, so they vary with the photo, and some will need a retake or a crop. Questions, problems or ideas are welcome by email; the contact page says what helps.
